Hong Kong Singer-Songwriter and producer Khalil Fong has passed away.
He was 41 when he passed on February 21, announced by his music label Fu Music on Mar 1 via Facebook.

A rich, multicultural environment shaped Khalil Fong’s early years.
Born in Hawaii in 1983, he was introduced to a wide range of musical genres by his father, including jazz, funk, and soul, which would later influence his own sound.
After spending part of his childhood in Guangdong and Shanghai, his family finally relocated to Hong Kong in the late 1990s.
It was in Hong Kong where he began pursuing his music career, drawing inspiration from the city’s vibrant cultural fusion of Eastern and Western influences.
By 2005, Khalil was ready to make his mark on the Mandopop scene, releasing his debut solo album Soulboy.
The album’s lead single, Spring Breeze, quickly catapulted him to stardom, thanks to its fresh sound that seamlessly fused R&B with Mandarin lyrics.
Khalil Fong’s career reached new heights with his victory at the 2017 Golden Melody Awards, where he was named Best Male Vocalist for his album Journey to the West.
